This shirt jacket is a celebration of traditional techniques and slow fashion, creating a timeless piece that honors both craftsmanship and eco-consciousness.

Medium weight cotton canvas shirt jacket, entirely handmade. The pattern was made by using an ancient Japanese dyeing technique - Arashi shibori, where the fabric is tied to a pole and folded in a certain way, then tied with string and immersed in indigo. Instead of indigo, I dyed the fabric a purplish grey, with Tara tree bark and used my own dye pastes made from metal oxides and applied them to the creases, which created this interesting pattern reminiscent of falling rain and bare tree branches with patches of autumnal orange hues.

The shirt jacket features a relaxed fit and can be worn as a layering piece or as a standalone jacket. It is a versatile piece and suitable for all seasons. It features two large pockets and it is fastened by beautiful bronze buttons.

This shirt jacket is a sustainable choice for those who value unique and ethical fashion.
