This unique fabric handbag is handmade of botanically printed cotton, fully lined and quilted on the inside, with 2 inside pockets and a magnetic clasp closure. It can also be pulled tight with the strings which are inserted through loops around the top edge, and the strings also become the handles. It is quite spacious, lots of bits and pieces can fit inside. It has a sturdy shoulder strap, so you can wear it comfortably everywhere. The inspiration for the bag shape comes from the Japanese rice bag, also known as Komebukuro. This is a unique artisan product, the fabric was printed with real plants, bamboo leaves, Virginia creeper, willow. The lining is made of French terry fabric  eco-printed with Geranium leaves, it is soft to the touch. It is also quilted on the inside, and there is a layer of wadding between the outer fabric and the lining for more stability.The size of the bag is approximately 23 cm x 23 cm on all sides.•Eco-printing or botanical contact printing is an artisan dyeing technique where real plants, either leaves or flowers or barks are placed in close contact with the fabric, bundled and steamed. Their pigments or other components such as tannins, will impart their colour and will be permanently preserved on the cloth.•We strive to provide accurate colour descriptions, however due to variations in the hand dyeing process as well as computer monitor colour displays, there may be slight variations between your bespoke item and those pictured in our sample photographs.
